You read it right...Joga!!
WHAT IS JOGA?
JOGA is a pre-hab and rehab, functional movement system, that can be individualized. It is a program that was designed for people to stay within their range of motion while working on areas of strength, mobility and stability.
JOGA moves with fluidity and speed, with lots of balance and coordination work. We speak anatomy to you, like Pilates does.
There is more and more need for JOGA in the fitness world as most bodies are less flexible and injury prone. JOGA will stretch you with no joint injuries, keeping you modified and safe in your ROM. You will also increase your heart rate, getting a great workout in a range that is right for you. JOGA is a great mental and physical challenge!
You will need to bring: water and a yoga mat
Please arrive at 8:15 to sign the waiver form.
Location: Dakota Lawn Bowl 1212 Dakota St., Winnipeg, MB, Canada
The cost of the class is $10 with $5 going directly to our HMC Sharing circle endowment fund. Please reserve your spot on this link and bring $10 cash that night.

Explore Life Lessons
Wed. Nov. 28, 7:40 - 9:10 PM
Cost - $20
These talks are ideal for women who are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them. We passionately believe that by sharing and spreading ideas of positivity and wellness, people will become more aware, attitudes will change, and ultimately, our intentional actions will improve lives and the world.
Based on the immensely successful concept of TED Talks, life coach Patti Phillips will host monthly, in-person group chats that explore various ideas in the areas of personal growth, life balance, self-care, happiness, and authentic living.
In each 45-60 minute chat, participants will be guided to be mindful, to consider new perspectives, and to explore options to grow forward.
Have a mindful Christmas
With Christmas just around the corner, you may be starting to wonder just how you're going to make it through the season without getting completely overwhelmed.
For many people, Christmas is one of the most stressful events of the year. There are so many expectations to buy the perfect gift, create the perfect meal, decorate the perfect house, attend all the holiday events, and share peace and goodwill with everyone you encounter.
The best intentions of Christmas, JOY, LOVE, and GIVING, can get lost in the external pressure of “shoulds” .
It doesn’t have to be this way.
This gathering will guide you to imagine a holiday season that is filled with peace and joy and then create a simple plan to remain mindful of your intentions.
Things to note:
There is often a class in the room we use that ends at 7:30. We may have to wait in the lobby until that class is finished and then set up chairs.
We also ask that you remove your shoes so bring your favourite slippers if you like.
All money collected for this event will be used to purchase Christmas hampers.
Pre-payment to secure your spot can be made through the Meetup Paypal option. CLICK HERE
Payment can also be made by e-transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org
These sessions are for women only.
