We focus so much on our physical health today. Diet and exercise seem to be all over the media and every other Facebook post. They are important and definitely need to have our attention but they are only 2 pieces of a larger puzzle that completes a healthy lifestyle. The other two pieces that need to be addressed are our mental health and our spiritual health.
Today my focus on mental health and taking those much needed 5 minute breaks to stop, be mindful and breathe. You will be amazed at the power and clarity that comes when you can step away from the rat race/hamster wheel and be present. Yes, only 5 minutes can make a huge difference. The important thing is to fill those 5 minutes with a true mental health break not just brain numbing activities.
