Based on the immensely successful concept of TED Talks, life coach Patti Phillips will host monthly, in-person group chats that explore various ideas in the areas of personal growth, life balance, self-care, happiness, and authentic living.
In each 45-60 minute chat, participants will be guided to be mindful, to consider new perspectives, and to explore options to grow forward.
Have yourself a mindful Christmas
Hosted by: Explore Life Coach, Patti Phillips
With Christmas just around the corner, you may be starting to wonder just how you're going to make it through the season without getting completely overwhelmed.
For many people, Christmas is one of the most stressful events of the year. There are so many expectations to buy the perfect gift, create the perfect meal, decorate the perfect house, attend all the holiday events, and share peace and goodwill with everyone you encounter.
The best intentions of Christmas, JOY, LOVE, and GIVING, can get lost in the external pressure of “shoulds” .
It doesn’t have to be this way.
This gathering will guide you to imagine a holiday season that is filled with peace and joy and then create a simple plan to remain mindful of your intentions.
Things to note:
The registration fees collected for this event will be donated for Christmas hampers.
The room we use for the session is used by another group prior to us having access. We will wait in the lobby and move in to set up chairs when they are finished. Please don't arrive too early to avoid congestion in the lobby.
If you like taking notes, bring a journal and pen.
Also bring some cozy slippers or wear your fanciest socks as we will leave our shoes at the entrance.
Payment can also be made by e-transfer to firstname.lastname@example.org
Let her know the Happy Monkey sent you!! 🙂

Live, learn, love ~ Costa Rica visiting the Blue Zone 2019
Jan. 28 - Feb. 8, 2019
$3447 CAD all meals, transportation in Costa Rica, activities and room (double occupancy) Airfare extra
HMC is thrilled to announce our Costa Rica adventure 2019 ~ experiencing the Blue Zone
This Costa Rica trip we would like to invite you to join us to learn and enjoy what a blue zone offers. We will incorporate and discuss the 9 habits of blue zone communities that will raise your quality of life and happiness.
A “blue zone” is a region where people commonly live past the age of 100 years. The Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica has been named one of the five classified blue zones of the world, where residents live even longer than those in the rest of the country. Scientists and demographers have classified these longevity hot-spots as having common health traits and lifestyles that result in higher than normal longevity. In “Blue Zone Nicoya Peninsula”, residents live longer than those in other areas of Costa Rica.
While you are in Costa Rica, we will visit Nicoya, the actual geographical core of the Blue Zone. We will meet some of the local people and find our first hand how they live their lives in health and happiness. We will use this knowledge through out our 12 days to enhance our trip and create some positive habits to bring home with us.
Foreign visitors frequently describe Costa Ricans as hospitable and gracious people, known to go out of their way to be courteous and avoid offending others. This can be interpreted to be a result from living the Pura Vida lifestyle. A phrase used in the everyday life that means “The Good Life."
This 12 day adventure will introduce you to the culture, the beautiful natural beauty, cuisine and happiness of Costa Rica.
I can't think of a better way to celebrate the five pillars of HMC, than in a country that truly lives it every day.
- Be in Costa Rica (when it's cold at home) and have the unique opportunity to experience the culture and language of Costa Rica.
- Experience mud baths and hot pools of the Rincon de la Vieja area.
- Visit the geographical core of the Blue Zone in Nicoya
- Do morning yoga and walks on the beach, swim in the ocean daily and kayak.

- Live the Pura Vida life
Carol Ploen-Hosegood, head monkey at HMC will be your host to Costa Rica where we will hook up with our local coordinators and leaders who are experienced, qualified educational professionals who provide guidance and support throughout the trip. This is an experiential travel opportunity that includes a balance of learning the local culture, giving back and having some time for fun. Truly a trip of a life time.
