These talks are ideal for women who are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them. We passionately believe that by sharing and spreading ideas of positivity and wellness, people will become more aware, attitudes will change, and ultimately, our intentional actions will improve lives and the world.

Based on the immensely successful concept of TED Talks, life coach Patti Phillips will host monthly, in-person group chats that explore various ideas in the areas of personal growth, life balance, self-care, happiness, and authentic living.

In each 45-60 minute chat, participants will be guided to be mindful, to consider new perspectives, and to explore options to grow forward.

Explore your thoughts, find your peace.

All of us have patterns of thinking that guide the way we see ourselves, how we see the world around us, and how we act minute by minute. These patterns of thinking are our assumptions, our beliefs, and what we consider to be true.

Sometimes these ways of thinking are responsible for blocking us from taking the action to do the things we truly desire. Our assumptions, beliefs, and what we chose as our truth, often place responsibility on the people and circumstances around us for how we’re feeling. This can lead to feelings such as resentment, anger, hopelessness, disappointment, and fear. For the most
part, our thoughts are what most influence how we feel.

In this life lesson, we will explore how you can challenge your unhelpful/negative thinking to see things differently, which can ultimately lead to feelings of more inner peace and freedom to move forward. The two resources that will be introduced are “The Work” by Byron Katie and the positive psychology ABCDE method for changing your mind.

Please note:

There is often a class in the room we use that ends at 7:30. We may have to wait in the lobby until that class is finished and then set up chairs.

We also ask that you remove your shoes so bring your favourite slippers if you like.

Pre-payment to secure your spot can be made  by e-transfer to

Cost - $10coin

Screen Shot 2018-03-02 at 9.32.06 AM

Women's health...a topic that doesn't get discussed as much as it should and certainly does not get the attention of researchers the way it should. So we are taking our health into our own hands by offering sessions that focus on health concerns specific to women and how we can live our lives to the fullest.

We will engage local professional on various topics. If you have suggestions or speakers please let me know.

Pelvic Floor health
I laughed so hard I peed my pants,
has a whole new meaning at mid life and it isn't so pleasant. However, it doesn't have to be that way.
Please join Jamie Wheaton, Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist as we discuss some of the most interesting (and intimate) details of our pelvic health.
Topics of discovery may include but are not limited to:
1. Menopause related incontinence, why does this happen? (Bladder and bowel control)
2. Prolapse, and all it's glory.  What does it mean and how do we fix it?
3. The ins and outs of sex during menopausal.
4. What is this, puberty part 2? Why is my vagina changing? Normal vs abnormal vulvar changes.
5. Pick the brain of a pelvic floor Physio about any and all topics regarding  menopause, the vulva and anything related to bladder, bowel and sex...
Prota Clinic will be serving mimosas and light snacks and refreshments.
Jamie has worked in private practice Physiotherapy since graduating in 2008, treating a variety of orthopedic and pelvic health concerns.
She has a special interest in women and men's pelvic health and has traveled across Canada and the US completing postgraduate training relating to urinary and bowel incontinence, sexual health and pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, menopause, prostate pain, pregnancy related pelvic pain, prenatal preparation for delivery, post partum abdominal and pelvic recovery, among other pelvic dysfunction for both men and women.

Jamie sits on the Committee of Physiotherapy Standards through the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba to improve the pelvic floor standard of care in Manitoba and for years, has hosted and guided lectures on pelvic function to hospital staff, Physiotherapy colleagues, patients and mommy groups and labour support groups.Feel free to contact Jamie at Prota Clinic (204) 837-7682 (83-PROTA).
