Did you know that simply writing down three things you are grateful for everyday can improve your health and wellness? What a simple fix!
When we focus on the the things we are grateful for we rewire our brains in a way that allows us to see the positive in any situation. In a world where there is so much negative being fired at us daily through the media, stressed out people and politics we need to create a buffer to help us find the positive in the world.
Writing about the things you are grateful for every day has proven to shift your outlook to be more positive.
When listing the things you are grateful for each day it does not have to be a life-changing revelation, it can be as simple as the smile the bank teller gave you, the sunshine coming through your window or the dental floss you found at the perfect time.
When we recognize the things that are good in our life, our brain rewires itself to find the positive all around us big and small.
My challenge for you or if you prefer my healthy living prescription for you…
Write 3 things you are grateful for each day. If you have the time and feel the inspiration, then list as many things as you like and expand on how they made you feel and why. It’s up to you.
Scientist report that people who express gratitude on a regular basis report the following benefits:
- Stronger immune systems and lower blood pressure;
- Higher levels of positive emotions;
- More joy, optimism, and happiness;
- Acting with more generosity and compassion;
- Feeling less lonely and isolated.

That seems like a pretty easy prescription to me
Let me begin…
I am grateful for the energizing sunshine today. I am grateful for the fun loving community of happy monkeys that make me smile, laugh and have fun. I am grateful for my family who loves me unconditionally and puts up with all my imperfections.
