The same goes for being around people who are grumpy, bored, and lazy. The energy they generate is negative, and can have an influence on those around them.

We have all felt and been influenced by the energy of others. And we can continue to be a thermometer; simply gauging the warmth or coolness of another person, sitting back and judging. Acting as a thermometer is reactive and passive.

If you really want to be a positive influence in your community (including your family, friends, neighborhood, and at work), have fun and exude the energy that naturally comes with it.

This doesn’t mean you have to be entertaining others with a lampshade on your head and inviting them to join in your fun. Even if your fun is more quiet and introverted, like reading, going for solo walks, doing crossword puzzles, knitting, or writing, it’s about the energy that you create when you are engaging in these activities that most important. It spreads to your home, to your family and friends, to your community, and ultimately, the rest of the world.

If you want to really make a difference in the world, it starts with having fun. What the world needs now is fun, sweet fun!
