April 2016 ~ Give Back
For April we will focus on the pillar, "Give Back." Research has shown that the old saying of "It’s better to give than receive" is true on many levels. Besides feeling good about you for doing something for others it is also good for your physical health, self-esteem and personal empowerment.
We encourage our members to be conscious of doing good for others. Whatever you choose to do to give back—whether you volunteer your time, make a monetary donation or do a random act of kindness—you are making the world a better place by sharing.

Week 1 - Clean up the world
This week when you are out walking, take a bag with you and pick up trash. Help clean up your community after a long winter. You'll feel fabulous after, I know I do.
Week 2 - Spread some positive energy with high 5's
This weeks challenge is to give out high fives to whoever you see that needs a little positive energy. High five your kids, your spouse, your coworkers and see the positive energy that flows.
Get a picture and post it in this months random acts of kindness photo contest.
Week 3 - Letters of gratitude
This weeks challenge is to write a letter to someone who has made a difference in your life, share with them how much they mean to you and how they have positively influenced you. Be sure to read the letter to them in person or over the phone. You will be amazed at the positive effect it will have on both of you.
Don't forget to take a photo and enter it in this months random acts of kindness photo contest.
Week 4 - Leave Positive post it notes in random places
This weeks challenge is to leave a sticky note with a positive message in a public place where others can read it. (public bathroom mirror) “You are beautiful”!
