Happy Thanks giving everyone. I trust you have all had a wonderful weekend full of family, friends, sleep ins and of course a bonus day off. Perhaps kids returned home from school, parents arrived from out of town, friends made the extra effort to drop by and just say hello. It is a weekend to remind us to be thankful for the many wonderful things in our lives. Family, friends, our homes, good food, our health … but why stop at the weekend?

Thanks Giving weekend is a special time to get together and enjoy a wonderful meal together but don’t let the thanks and gratitude end there. Gratitude is a key element to raising our happiness and we can train our brains daily simply by writing down 3-5 things you are grateful for. When we do this exercise it creates new pathways in our brains to help us recognize and notice the things that make us happy without us even knowing.

Make a commitment today to write down what you are thankful for every day for the next 30 days and create a new habit that will shift your state of mind to happy.
